My story is a little different than most. My parents were not comfortable around humans and our mom kept having kittens. Someone came to our barn when we were only 3 weeks old and live trapped our mother to get her spayed and give her shots, then was taken back where she was familiar (Snip and Tip Program). The doctors asked the captor if she could take us home and teach us how to be loving pets. It only took us a week to realize that life as pets included daily attention, love, food and safety. 2 of my sisters have already been adopted out to great homes. I would prefer a home with other cats or for my brother Rusty to come with me as I'm used to being around a lot of cats and dogs.

Freckles Friends Pet Shelter, Inc. is a group of volunteer pet lovers, organized in May of 2006 to raise funds to build & operate a pet shelter for our area in Middle TN. We have begun a foster care program in the meantime and are working to find homes for the growing number of unwanted pets in our county while promoting spay/neuter.
