Tell a friend about Hole in the Wall Gang

We're young playful kitties just waiting for the right person to come along. While the Hole in the Wall Gang was a bunch out outlaws in the wild west, we got our name because our mom carried us into a hole in a ceiling. There were originally six of us, but two of our brothers and two of our sisters were adopted. Now, there's just us two, Annie and Butch who are all black. We came to Paws with our mother when we were just days old, but now we're over a year old. Nobody wanted us when we were little kittens, nor when we were teenagers. Sadly, we're still here, but we know that eventually, the right person will walk through the door. The two of us are big softies who absolutely love to play and play and play. We can be a bit timid and shy at first, but once we're comfortable with you, we'll love you as much as you love us. We're all big purr-er-ers too. We love being with other cats. We even adopted two other guys into our family, Joey and Dean. We've never been alone before, so we all would like to go to home with another cat, or better yet, with one of our siblings. We're strictly indoor only. We're all spayed/neutered, current on all our vaccinations and we've tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you're looking for a young, playful cat, you couldn't go wrong with either of us. After all, we're on the right side of the law. PAWS is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1962 by Westport, Connecticut resident Betty Long to rescue homeless dogs and place them in permanent homes. In the early 1980s, our rescue efforts were expanded to include cats. PAWS rescues & rehomes approximately 115 dogs and 435 cats annually. Many of the dogs faced euthanasia at local pounds and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned cats that roam our streets. A portion of the pets that come to PAWS have been relinquished by their owners who are no longer able to care for them. PAWS has a handful of paid staff and a team of dedicated volunteers that help with everything to fundraising, to kennel work, to walking dogs and much, much more. ADOPTION FEES: Effective July 1, 2008 The adoption fee helps us defray the cost of the animal's food, boarding and medical care. Any additional donation you would like to make above the adoption fee is greatly appreciated. Your contributions are tax deductible.   Cats & Kittens: $90 The feline adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccines and testing for Feline Aids and Feline Leukemia for kittens over 12 weeks of age (Please Note: No test is 100% accurate for these viruses). We spay/neuter all cats and kittens old enough for the procedures before they go home with you. We also offer low-cost options for spaying/neutering unaltered kittens when they are old enough to be altered. Dogs & Puppies: $200 The canine adoption fees include age-appropritate vaccines and testing for heartworm. We spay/neuter all dogs and puppies old enough for the procedures before they go home with you. We also offer low-cost options for spaying/neutering unaltered puppies when they are old enough to be altered. ADOPTION HOURS: * We show pets for adoption during the week by appointment. * We show CATS for adoption on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. No appointment is needed. * We also have open house from 12 noon to 4:00 on Saturdays - no appointment needed. We can be flexible if the listed adoption times do not work for you. We encourage people to come in during the week if at all possible. Saturday is our busiest day & things get quite hectic. If you choose to come on a Saturday, please understand that the wait can be quite lengthy. When coming to see pets, whether by appointment or during the open house, please expect to spend at least one hour at PAWS with the pets. It is important that you spend time with the pets in order to select a pet that is a good match for your family.
